Here is a father’s day poem that I wrote yesterday for my special dad. Perhaps you will also consider it as one of your best and hence lead it aloud to your dad. Apart from your biological father you may also express your love and gratitude too to your beloved elder brother, grandfather or any other person who is like a father to you, by quoting this particular poem. The idea behind this beautiful and amazing poem is to say a big thanks to your father for all his sacrifices, care and affection for you.
Here is a poem with exactly the right words to bless your father, chosen specifically for this special day.
MY DEAR DADDY
Dear daddy, I love you
For all you have done to me since conception
I will always kiss and hug you
Because, I know that, you certainly love me too.
My dear daddy, thank you for the laughter
For the beautiful moments that we have always shared
Thanks for always listening to me
And for always trying to be fair
My dear daddy, do you remember when I was a tiny toddler,
Do you vividly remember when,
The time you kissed my bruises so passionately,
Or even cleaned my soiled chin
My dear daddy, when I hit the ball you hurriedly scrambled for it
Though, it was often short-winded,
Yet, every moment we would play a game
You never forgot to praise the outs, which I caught.
My dear daddy, I am all grown now,
Yet, it seems just like yesterday,
You wiped away my tears every time I mama screwed me
And late at night I called your name daddy,
To chase away my fears.
My dear daddy, time has very fast elapsed,
Your handsome grip has being changed,
Your hair is as white as snow,
Your gait’s a little slower,
And only thick glasses that can help you see right.
My dear daddy you are simply the best,
I could not have asked for more
As I thirst for years gone by,
To be that growing lad,
Re-living all the awesome memories,
Of growing with my dad.
